Essential Duties:

Design Service Oriented Architecture driven by the Enterprise Service Bus and related messaging components.
Create integration standards and guidelines for service addressability, service versioning and service development.
Develop and integrate common services such as logging and auditing services.
Provide appropriate mechanisms for application development teams to develop and test the integration architecture.
Initiates and leads conversations around the architectural vision to management and developers on all standards, shared services and inter-application component communication.
Leads the development effort of internal and external developer resources, sets technical direction.
Work with the functional teams and business analysts to estimate projects and translate business requirements into statements of work.
Responsible for providing input and direction on when to buy new software, leveraging existing applications or build a solution from scratch.
Provides recommendations on product release strategies and versioning approaches.
Works with Project Manager to ensure delivery of agreed-upon functionality on time and to the satisfaction of the business.
Leverages technical expertise of peers and external resources as needed to ensure high-quality, effective solutions are delivered.

Requirements:

BS or higher degree in Computer Science or IT related field or relevant experience.
5+ years working with SOA technologies
2+ years experience working with an Enterprise Service Bus (WSDL, XML, SOAP and REST).

Bonus Points / NOT Required:

Software AG WebMethods experience
Software AG WebMethods certification
