How Emerald Resource Group came to be
Mark Krusinski founded Emerald Resource Group in 1997 after recognizing something that still holds true today: most recruiting firms are built for volume, not for fit. They send a stack of resumes, collect a fee, and move on. Mark believed there was a better way, and that building real relationships with both clients and candidates would lead to better outcomes for everyone involved.
He started ERG in Cleveland with a focused approach: learn the markets deeply, build trust over time, and only send candidates you'd genuinely stand behind. That philosophy turned into a business that has placed more than 10,000 professionals over nearly three decades.
ERG began with a focus on Information Technology, a space where Mark had built deep networks and real expertise. Over the years, the firm expanded into Accounting and Finance, Healthcare, and Manufacturing, not because those were the biggest markets, but because the team had the relationships and knowledge to do those searches well.
Today ERG is still privately owned, still based in the Cleveland area, and still run on the same principles it was founded on. The team is small by design. Every search is handled by someone who actually knows the market they're working in. And every placement is one we're proud to stand behind.
