Straight answers about how we work — for both the companies we partner with and the candidates we represent.
We handle three types of engagements:
For direct-hire placements, we work on a contingency basis. That means you don't pay us anything unless we successfully fill the role. No upfront fees, no retainer, no cost if the search doesn't result in a hire.
Contract and contract-to-hire arrangements are billed at an agreed hourly or weekly rate for the duration of the engagement.
We stand behind our placements. If a direct-hire candidate we place leaves or doesn't work out within 30 days of their start date, we will restart the search at no additional cost to you.
Our goal is a placement that sticks — not just one that closes. That's why we stay involved through onboarding and check in after the start date.
Job postings only reach people who are actively looking — and actively looking candidates represent a small fraction of the talent market. The best candidates are usually employed, not browsing job boards.
We go after passive candidates — people who aren't updating their LinkedIn or responding to job postings, but who trust us enough to take a call. We've spent decades building those relationships. That's a different pool of talent than you'll reach by posting on Indeed.
We also filter heavily before you see anyone — so instead of reviewing 50 applications, you're meeting 3–5 people worth your time.
For most roles, we recommend 2–3 interview stages:
More than 3 rounds is rarely necessary and risks losing strong candidates to employers who move faster. The best candidates have options, and a 5-round process sends the wrong signal.
Same day. Reach out and we'll respond within one business day to get the intake conversation scheduled. In many cases we already have candidates in our network who fit the profile before we even formally kick off the search.
No. You're free to work with as many recruiters as you'd like — we never require exclusivity on the candidate side. Our job is to be a valuable resource to you, not to limit your options.
That said, if we're actively working on a role with a specific company on your behalf, we'd ask that you let us know if you're also pursuing that company through another channel, just so we can coordinate appropriately.
We take this seriously. We will never send your resume to a client without first speaking with you by phone about the specific opportunity — what the role is, who the company is, and whether it's something you'd want to pursue.
Your information stays with us. We don't blast resumes, we don't share your details without your knowledge, and we won't contact your current employer without your explicit permission.
Never. Our services are completely free to candidates, from the first conversation all the way through your accepted offer. Our fees are paid by the hiring company — not by you.
We place professionals across four practice areas:
We place both direct-hire (permanent) and contract roles.
One of our recruiters will reach out within one business day to schedule a call. On that call, we'll learn about your background, what you're looking for, what you're not interested in, and where you are in your search.
From there, if we have something that fits we'll bring it to you specifically — not blast you with roles that don't make sense. If nothing is an immediate fit, we keep your profile in mind and reach out when something relevant comes up.
Reach out directly and we'll get back to you the same business day.
